The 2014 NAB AFL Draft will be held on Thursday, November 27, at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

AFL National and International Talent Manager, Kevin Sheehan has today released his Draft List of 40 leading prospects in positional groupings based on the Virgin Australia 2014 AFL All-Australian squad of 40 players.

Details of Kevin Sheehan’s Top 40 prospects by position can be viewed here.

Sheehan said the clubs have scrutinised every possible detail during the season and the NAB AFL Draft Combines.

“Athletic ability and skill has been dissected with players’ percentile ranked in various categories. Clubs have studied medical reports and conducted countless interviews not just with the players but with parents, coaches and teachers. Many hours have been devoted to watching edited highlights of prospects and vigorous debate within AFL Clubs has narrowed their focus as each club prepares its Draft list.

“Now it comes down to human judgement as to which players, in the opinion of individual AFL Clubs, have what it takes to make the grade at the elite AFL level,” he said

Kevin Ramsdale, NAB General Manager Consumer Marketing, said NAB is looking forward to hosting this event again on the Gold Coast. "NAB has been supporting Australia's most talented young footballers for over a decade through the NAB AFL Rising Stars Program," he said.   “We’re really proud to be associated with this program and the extraordinary calibre of young men represented at the NAB AFL Draft each year. Many of our Queensland employees and customers are passionate fans of the AFL and take great pride in hosting this event in their home state," Kevin said.
