Lachie Neale's impressive start to 2015 has put him in the mix for All Australian selection, according to some pundits.

The Herald Sun listed Neale in the top six All Australian 'smokies' for 2015, along with names such as West Coast's Elliott Yeo and St Kilda's David Armitage.

The newspaper said Neale had exploded this year, averaging a goal and 27 touches per game.

It comes after Hawthorn legend Dermott Brereton named Neale the AFL's most underestimated player in April.

Neale has been a key factor in Fremantle's unbeaten start to the year, as a cog in its talented midfield.
