Michael Barlow wants Fremantle to hit the scoreboard hard against Collingwood on Thursday night after the side’s tally dropped off in recent weeks.

Fremantle averaged 97 points per game in the first eight rounds of the year but has averaged just 60 points in the past three rounds.

Barlow told 6PR on Tuesday that while wet conditions played a part in the low scores, the side was not converting its opportunities nor getting the ball forward effectively.

“We’ve been averaging about 100 points a game, over the last three games we’ve only been averaging 60,” he said.

“That could be due to the weather but we haven’t been moving the ball as well as we’d like.”

Barlow said Fremantle would work on getting the ball forward quicker and converting that into goals.

“I think we dropped away in some key aspects of our game,” he said.

“Our ball movement hasn’t been what we want."

Fremantle play Collingwood at Domain Stadium on Thursday 25 June. Bounce down is at 6.10pm.
