Chris Mayne trained unhindered with the main group on Tuesday, pushing his claim to return for Thursday’s blockbuster with Collingwood.

Mayne was ruled out the Round 12 game against the Gold Coast due to illness but appeared in full fitness during an intense session at Fremantle Oval.

Freo’s forward group completed a number of one-on-one drills, with four-time All Australian ruckman Aaron Sandilands spending time working on contested marking against fellow tall Jon Griffin.

Tendai Mzungu and Hayden Crozier impressed on the track during a number of drills.

In good news, All Australian defender Michael Johnson, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, was on light duties.
