The good thing about football is that there is always next week and that is the focus at Fremantle, according to ruckman Aaron Sandilands.

Fremantle face a resurgent Carlton at Domain Stadium on Saturday night after a heavy 72-point loss to Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium on Sunday.

Sandilands was among Fremantle’s best on a sour day for the club, notching up a game-high of 45 hit-outs.

He said while the side would review the Hawks game, its attention was now firmly focused on the Blues.

Carlton has won two of its past four matches after winning just one game in the first half of the year.

“They’ve been up and about the last three or four weeks, “ he said.

“There is no easy game in footy.”

Ballas can play mid: Sandilands

Sandilands said Fremantle would work hard on the track this week to be ready to get back on the winners list come Saturday night.

“For us, it’s about training this week and looking forward to the challenge come Saturday night,” he said.

“We know that when we get our structures, effort and intensity right we are a reasonable side and can play some good footy.”

Fremantle play Carlton at Domain Stadium on Saturday 18 July. Bounce down is at 5.40pm.
