Following the Fremantle Dockers two-point NAB Challenge win over Adelaide, Nat Fyfe said the team’s intent was there but execution needed improvement.

“We weren’t perfect” Fyfe said.

“I thought our effort was good throughout the four quarters, but defensively they got through us a bit.

“They were able to open us up but we’ll look at the tape, there’ll be some positives, some negatives like there are every week.

“Thankfully, we have another game to fine tune things before we play the Bulldogs in round one. “

What required no improvement during Sunday’s game was the involvement of the Freo fans at Sounness Park, according to Fyfe.

“Overall it was a great experience playing out here at Mt Barker,” Fyfe said.

“The people here turned out and gave us great support and both sides put on a good show.”

Fyfe also said he was happy with the result, as he played the role of captain in David Mundy’s absence.

“Yeah we got the win!” he laughed.

“It was a good result so the record (as acting captain) sits at 50/50 and hopefully it improves from here on out.”
