Fremantle utility Anthony Morabito has suffered another injury, hurting his hamstring in the WAFL on Saturday.

Morabito suffered the injury – his second hamstring problem this year – during Peel Thunder's 17-point loss to West Perth.

He gathered 19 disposals in the loss but Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said that it was only a "lower-grade" injury following the Fremantle Dockers' loss to Greater Western Sydney.

Morabito was playing his fourth WAFL game of the year after suffering a serious hamstring tear during the pre-season.

He had his best pre-season in years after missing all of last year due to ongoing soreness in left knee that has been reconstructed three times.

Lyon said during the week that the he wanted to give him an extended period of consecutive games at WAFL level before even considering him for the Fremantle side.
