Michael Apeness has been named in the TABtouch 22 for Freo’s clash with Essendon on Saturday night. 

Apeness, who will play his first game since round 17, 2014 has worked his way into the side after strong performances for Peel Thunder in the WAFL.

Darcy Tucker has also been rewarded for his recent WAFL form; the first year player is coming off a 29-disposal effort in Peel’s win against East Fremantle. 

Freo’s two young inclusions will be aided by the return of captain David Mundy, who missed last week’s clash with St Kilda due to a calf injury.

Garrick Ibbotson won’t play due to a wrist injury while Ed Langdon and Matt de Boer have been omitted.

Tendai Mzungu, Ed Langdon and Matt de Boer have been named as emergencies for Saturday’s game.

Essendon have made three changes for Saturday's clash.

Will Hams, Jackson Merrett and Matthew Leuenberger come into the side for Michael Hartley (hamstring), James Kelly (rested) and Mark Jamar (omitted).
