Matt Taberner’s opening goal from the forward pocket in Saturday’s game against Melbourne has earned him a Coates Hire Goal of the Year nomination for round 16.
The tall forward ran onto a loose ball and finished cleverly with a left-foot dribbler.
Taberner was also nominated for Mark of the Year in round 11.
Jarryd Blair (Collingwood) and Ben Brown (North Melbourne) were the other Round 16 nominations.
