The AFL Match Review Panel has charged Fremantle defender Zac Dawson with engaging in rough conduct against Jake Lloyd during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s clash at Domain Stadium.

Competition and fight lacking
 
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from Sydney, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with high impact to the head of Lloyd. The incident was classified as a three-match sanction, but Dawson has a poor record of two suspensions in the past two seasons, increasing the penalty to a four-match ban.
 
An early plea will enable Dawson to accept a three-match sanction.
