Fremantle forwards Michael Walters and Cam McCarthy have been charged by the AFL Match Review Panel for engaging in a melee during the second quarter of Sunday's clash with Geelong at Domain Stadium.

It is a second offence for both Waters and McCarthy, which carries a $2,500 sanction that can be reduced to $1,500 with an early plea.

Geelong’s Zac Tuohy was also charged with a second offence for engaging in the second quarter melee, and can accept a $1,500 sanction with an early plea.
