Bradley Hill says he isn’t exempt from scrutiny despite an impressive showing for Fremantle against Port Adelaide on Sunday.

Hill racked up 31 disposals and in the 89-point loss – the equal second highest in his career – but feels he contributed to some of the skill errors that cost Fremantle early in the game.

“Port Adelaide were pretty good, but there were a few things and a few errors that we did with our ball use,” Hill said.

“There were turnovers from our skills, and they just out worked us on Sunday.

“I tried to run hard all day, I just want to play consistent footy.

“But I still want to improve my game. I had a couple of turnovers too, so if we can all work hard and move on to next week, we’ll be able to play some better footy as a group.”

Fremantle go into this Saturday’s clash with the Western Bulldogs off a six-day break, but Hill feels a quick turnaround can only help a side hungry to make amends.

“It’s probably good we have a six day break,” Hill said.

“We can move on and get ready for the Bulldogs, which is obviously going to be a big game for us.

“They’re the reigning premiers and we’ve got to play a lot better than we did agianst Port.

“We’re looking forward to the challenge.”

The round three clash will be Fremantle’s first night game for the season, with bouncedown at 5:40pm at Domain Stadium.
