Small forwards Michael Walters and Hayden Ballantyne have been cited by the Match Review Panel after Fremantle’s clash with Geelong on Sunday at Simonds Stadium.

Walters was charged with kneeing Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield during the final quarter while Ballantyne was charged with striking Geelong’s Zach Tuohy during the second quarter.

Both incidents were assessed as intentional with low impact to the body based on video evidence and medical reports from Geelong, which carry a $1,500 sanction.

Neither players have applicable records which impact the penalty, meaning both Walters and Ballantyne can accept $1,000 sanctions with an early plea.
