With the Doig Medal Presentation Dinner rapidly approaching, fremantlefc.com.au looks at which players are likely to fare well in Fremantle’s night of nights at the Crown Ballroom on Saturday 7 October.

In his return from a broken leg, Nat Fyfe returned to the elite form that saw him win the Brownlow Medal in 2015, as well as back-to-back Doig Medals in 2013 and 2014.

Polling the most Brownlow votes in his side in 2017 bodes well for tFyfe, collecting 15 votes with Lachie Neale one back on 14 and Michael Walters also in double figures on 10.

The Freo captain was quick to return to the top of his game after missing almost a year of football. In Freo’s round three win against the Western Bulldogs, Fyfe was arguably best on ground, collecting 33 disposals and laying six tackles.

Fyfe kept building and his best football came after the bye, averaging 16.4 contested possessions and 2.4 contested marks per game during this period.

In the Brownlow, Fyfe polled in seven games – the most of any Freo player – collecting votes in rounds three, four, five, 16, 19, 20 and 23.
