After a long offseason, AFLW is back with the 2017 NAB AFLW Draft, to be held on Wednesday 18 October at NAB Arena in Melbourne.

Senior coach Michelle Cowan and her recruiting staff are in a strong position, holding pick no.2 up their sleeves and exclusive access to players who have nominated for the WA draft.

Fremantle has 20 players on their primary AFLW list - including new signings from the NAB AFLW Trade Period Kellie Gibson and Alex Williams - meaning Freo can make up to seven selections to reach their maximum primary list size of 27.

These picks will come at two, 10, 18, 26, 33, 40 and 44.

HOW TO FOLLOW THE DRAFT

Fremantle will offer live coverage on Twitter as well as updates on Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram.

The draft will also be streamed live on the AFL Live App, online via afl.com.au/womens and of the AFLW Facebook page.

ROOKIE DRAFT

Fremantle also has three spots available in the NAB AFLW Rookie Draft, taking place on Friday 20 October.

Each AFLW side is allowed up to three players on their rookie list, with players only permitted to be elevated to the primary list in the event of injury to a primary listed player.

In order to be eligible as a rookie, the player must be under the age of 21 or not have previously played in the past three years prior to the start of the 2017 season.

Fremantle has picks two, 10 and 16 in the rookie draft.
