Peter Bell will serve a second consecutive term on the board of the Fremantle Football Club after his was the only valid application lodged with the club for the election of a member-elected director.

The former club captain (2002-2006) and Doig medallist (2001, 2003, 2004) has served as a member-elected director since December 2015.

President Dale Alcock said Bell’s second two-year term, which is due to commence on 1 December, 2017, was in the process of being ratified by the club’s board.

“Peter’s contribution as a director in his first term on the board has been invaluable,” Alcock said.

“He is committed to promoting the best interests of members whilst provided strong leadership in the board’s decision making process and strategic direction of the club both on and off the field.”

Former club captain Peter Mann is the second of two member-elected representatives on the board.

His current term expires on 30 November, 2018.
