Fremantle midfielder Dana Hooker and defender Ebony Antonio have been rewarded for their outstanding 2018 NAB AFL Women’s seasons, being named in the Virgin Australia AFLW All Australian Team during the W Awards in Melbourne on Tuesday.

It’s a first for both Hooker and Antonio, who follow in the footsteps of Fremantle captain Kara Donnellan, who was named in the 2017 All Australian team.

Hooker backed up her debut AFLW season - where she won Fremantle’s inaugural Fairest and Best - with another impressive year, leading Fremantle for disposals (123) while kicking the second-most goals (5).

Antonio was Fremantle’s rock in defence, where she was third for disposals (94), second for marks (15) and was damaging up front with three goals. 

Donnellan was named in the initial squad of 40 however did not make the final team.
