Freo captain Nat Fyfe says he was disappointed in his team’s performance against the Tigers at the MCG on Sunday but doesn’t believe the result is a true reflection of his sides’ ability.

The Tigers dominated the first half of the game, before Freo managed to restrict the home team to five points in the third quarter, but the Tigers came out firing in the final term with Freo going down by 77-points.

“The Tigers were very good today, but I don’t think that’s an accurate reflection of where we are at,” Fyfe told Fox Footy after the game.

“We are bitterly disappointed with what we dished up today. Ultimately it wasn’t good enough.”

Freo went into the game missing injured forwards Matt Taberner and Michael Walters as well as classy midfielder Bradley Hill.

Taberner’s absence resulted in Fyfe becoming the back-up ruckman for the majority of the game.

“We need to find some talls. We’ve lost a few out of the forward line and a back-up ruckman, so we’re plugging holes at the moment but we need to find someone.”

Freo take on St Kilda this Saturday 12 May at Optus Stadium at 6.10pm.
