Stephen Hill and Joel Hamling will face fitness tests to earn selection for Sunday’s clash with North Melbourne at Optus Stadium, according to high performance manager Jason Weber.

Hill has missed the past two weeks with a quad injury but remains a good chance to line up against the Kangaroos.

“The clinical signs are very good,” Weber said.

“He ran well last week, he had a little bit of soreness so we just wanted to make sure we get it right.

“Hopefully, at the end of this week we’ll have a better outcome and have him available for match committee.”

Hamling missed the second half of Fremantle’s clash with Sydney on Saturday with concussion but will have every chance to recover.

“Joel copped a nasty elbow and split his chin,” Weber said.

“He will progress through the week but with an eight-day break we’re hopeful of a good outcome.”

Griffin Logue could play his first game of the AFL season as soon as round 11 against Collingwood at the MCG.

The defender has been battling a congenital issue with his foot and has missed the first half of the season.

“It’s all progressing very well at the moment,” Weber said.

“He’ll complete training this week and, hopefully, get through that ok and be available next week.”

Listed as two weeks away with a knee injury, defender Lee Spurr could be available for selection for round 12 against Adelaide at Optus Stadium.

Alongside Logue, Spurr returned to full training last week as he commenced the final stage of the recovery process.

“Lee’s a couple of weeks away at this stage,” Weber said.

“He’s progressing slowly with the bone stress he’s had with his knee. He’s doing some really good work, getting his speed back and we hope to see him soon.”

Weber confirmed that Bradley Hill has returned to running after he sustained a knee injury against Essendon in round two.

“Bradley’s progressed well,” Weber said.

“It’s a very complicated issue from the injury he had some weeks ago now but he’s back and running on the field this week so that will be a big step forward for him.”
