Fremantle member Richard Martin and his son Bryce were among the first Freo fans to make the most of the new fan Experiences available now through the Fremantle Dockers App.

Excited to get the most out of Fremantle’s first AFL game at Optus Stadium, Martin surprised his 15-year-old son with a last-minute purchase of a “hold the team banner” Experience.

Richard and Bryce took in the atmosphere from the historic moment from the ground, holding the banner as Nat Fyfe led the team out onto the field for the first time.

Richard said the match day experience really added to his enjoyment of the game as a fan.

“My son was raving about it once I told him we were going to do it,” Richard said.

“He was pumped for it and has been telling all his mates since about what he did. He took a few photos on the ground and videoed a little bit as well.

“Certainly for him and myself, it took it to another level, which was fantastic.”

While the pair are Harbour Masters with Freo, the Experiences are something any Freo fan can do, ranging from the banner, Supporters Club or Sports Lounge access, a birthday card on your seat or purchase a Freo flag or member cap and scarf.

Fans can access these Experiences under “Offers and Upgrades” in the Game Day section of the app.

“I was on the internet looking up transport to and from the stadium and a few people recommended getting the Fremantle Dockers app,” Richard said.

“So once I grabbed the app, I started flicking through it and I saw that there was the game day Experiences on there

“I had a look at that and thought for the first home game at the stadium, it might have been quite an experience. So I signed up for myself and my son.”
