In a day that finished with a victory over Geelong, the festivities started a lot earlier as Freo hosted their Family Fun Day at Market Square in Subiaco.

Families descended on the event that had everything from face painting, to bouncy castles, mini games and a special skills contest with Freo Dockers players.

Melanoma WA played a key role in the day, ensuring everyone was sun smart in the 32 degree temperatures, while ‘Friend of the Foundation’ Manna accepted donations of food and school supplies for those who need it most.

The biggest surprise of the day came when young Freo member Brady Crompton was made Docker for a Day in the most unexpected of ways.

Brady had just finished showing off his handballing skills with the Hit 92.9 hit squad when Fremantle defender Anthony Morabito surprised him with a Freo guernsey and the offer run out onto Domain Stadium alongside Freo captain David Mundy before the game.
