Fremantle Football Club inaugural member, Quay Club member and former KPMG partner Andrea Hall has been appointed to the club's board of directors for a three-year term.

Hall, who holds a BA Commerce from the University of WA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, was appointed a director on the Insurance Commission of Western Australia in October 2015 and is a member of its audit and risk committee.

She is on Murdoch University's Senate and the board of LotteryWest, and chairs the audit and risk committees at both organisations.

Fremantle president Steve Harris said Hall, who is replacing outgoing director Brian O'Donnell on the board, was an outstanding candidate to fill the vacancy.

"In addition to being an inaugural Fremantle Dockers member, Andrea is extremely well credentialed, with skills in financial management, internal and external audit, risk management and operational and corporate governance," Harris said.

"Andrea's professional expertise cannot be understated and she will be a great fit for the make-up of our board.

"We are very fortunate to have someone of Andrea's capability and expertise helping to shape the future direction of the club."

Hall said she was both delighted and honoured with her appointment.

"I'm really looking forward to working with my fellow board members and ensuring that we are doing everything possible to achieve our stated aim of being a premiership winning club both on the field and off the field," Hall said.

"I feel really honoured to have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future growth and direction of the club at what is a really challenging and exciting time in Fremantle's history."

Meanwhile, Nicole Horrocks, who was previously manager of the club's Human Resources Department, has been elevated to general manager - human resources.
