Each year more than 90,000 meals are distributed to disadvantaged people of Perth, thanks to charitable organisation Manna.

Manna provides hope and dignity to the hungry, the lonely and the disadvantaged.

Founded in 1996 by Bev and John Lowe, Manna now has more than 200 volunteers that give their time on a regular basis to prepare and deliver consistent food services to those in need.

The charity also runs a school breakfast program and a winter uniform drive.

Manna ambassador Jon Griffin volunteers each month at Weld Square Park in the city, feeding meals to the homeless.
Griffin said he really enjoys being able to make a difference off the field.

Friend of the day: Ngala

“I love working with Manna.

“It’s really humbling to see the positive impact they have in the community,” said Griffin.

“There are a large percentage of indigenous people that are homeless. This is why I initially started working with Manna.

“Helping both kids and the indigenous community is something I am extremely passionate about”.

The Fremantle Dockers Foundation is proud to partner with Manna as an ‘Principal Friend of the Foundation’.

To celebrate this partnership, Manna will have an information booth set up at gate 19 before our Foundation round clash against Port Adelaide on Saturday 18 June.
