Fremantle players Tendai Mzungu and Matt Taberner will both be available for selection against Geelong this Sunday after their hit-out with Peel Thunder last weekend.

Utility Mzungu missed out on the team to take on Port Adelaide after suffering a hamstring injury in the NAB Challenge.

Emerging forward Taberner overcame an Achilles injury to boot four goals in Peel’s 55-point win against East Fremantle.

Sports science manager Jason Weber was pleased with how both players have recovered from the game.

“They’ve pulled up really well,” Weber said.

“It was their first game back, certainly for ‘Tabs’ (Taberner)…both came back from a little bit of an interrupted pre-season.

“Both have pulled up really well and we both expect to have them available for match committee this week.”

Weber also said key defender Alex Silvagni was tracking well in his comeback from a hamstring injury.

“Alex is going along really well, he’s on program,” he said.

“He’s progressed nicely and we’re looking forward to seeing him in about three weeks.”

Weber said fellow defender Zac Dawson should be back playing AFL within a month as he returns from a groin injury.
