Fremantle’s All Australian pair David Mundy and Brownlow Medallist Nat Fyfe broke a club record for clearances that stood for 16 years this season.
 
Fyfe recorded 173 clearances at an average of 8.65 in his 20 games, setting a new season all-time high, while Mundy compiled 162, earning second spot.

The pair eclipsed Adrian Fletcher's record of 143, set in 1999.
 
Fyfe and Mundy are the only two players in the top 20 to have averaged more than seven clearances a game in a single season.
 
Lachie Neale also earned his place in the history books with 142 clearances, putting him in fourth spot on the list.

Fyfe also set a club record for contested possessions, with 356 at an average of 17.8 surpassing his own record  of 322 from 2014.
