The recently launched Fremantle Dockers Foundation will help Freo continue to remain a top club on and off the field, according to ambassador Stephen Hill.

Hill and Fremantle’s first AFL Hall of Fame member Peter Bell are ambassadors for the foundation, which was launched last week.

Its first project will be helping to fund Fremantle’s elite training and administration facility (ETAF) at Cockburn Central West.

A new chapter is ready to be written

Hill said the ETAF would offer players state-of-the art training facilities and engage the club further with members, supporters and the community.

“To have those kind of training facilities for us to use on a daily basis will be incredibly beneficial to players,” he said.

“It will mean we can sustain long-term success both on and off the field.”

Bell backs new foundation

Fremantle chief executive Steve Rosich told The West Australian last week that the foundation’s establishment was crucial to securing the club’s future.

“There’s no limit on the funding we’ll look to generate this year and in future years because the more funding we raise, the more resources we can put into our broader community and development programs,” he said.
