Key Hawthorn duo Jarryd Roughead and Grant Birchall have been cleared to line up for the Hawks in Saturday's Toyota AFL Grand Final following the AFL Match Review Panel's findings from the prelims.

Roughead, the 2013 Coleman Medallist, was charged with rough conduct for a bump on Geelong's Cam Guthrie in Friday's first prelim.

It drew 125 demerit points and a one-match ban, but Roughead can accept a reprimand with an early plea because of his good record.

The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This was a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One Offence.

Birchall was cleared for his big hit on Cat Mathew Stokes in the third quarter. The MRP deemed that the contact was solely to the body and there was no forceful high contact made.
