Nat Fyfe says Hawthorn won’t be any easier to beat without star forward Jarryd Roughead at Patersons Stadium on Sunday.

The Freo midfielder said the reigning premiers had already proven they could cover for the loss of key personnel.

“The players they are bringing in are pretty good calibre as well,” Fyfe said at a function for Fremantle co-major sponsor Woodside.

“Their personnel, it doesn’t faze them if they lose a couple. They get equally talented players back.

“It’s going to be a really tough game.”

While Roughead will miss through suspension, the Hawks have included 2013 Norm Smith Medallist Brian Lake and Jack Gunston, who booted four goals in the Grand Final.

Fyfe said Hawthorn were such a successful AFL club for a number of reasons.

“They’ve got really high quality coaching and a playing group that’s really bought into that style,” he said.

“That’s what it takes to be quality team in the AFL these days. Everyone needs to be on the same page.

“If that’s the case, it doesn’t matter what the personnel is that’s out there, they are just numbers on the back.”

The 22-year-old also lauded the reigning premiers’ ball movement.

“Once they have the ball, they just move it around so well,” he said.
