Fremantle will enter today’s NAB Challenge match against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium with almost the entire team that played in last year’s AFL Grand Final.

Twenty-one of the 22 players that lined up against the Hawks will compete in the club’s second-to-last pre-season hit-out.

The only man missing is Zac Clarke, who is out with a knee injury.

Grand Final emergencies Tom Sheridan and Jack Hannath are also in the 29-man squad. The other emergency from the 2013 decider, Alex Silvagni, is still on the comeback trail.

Freo added experienced stars Ryan Crowley and Chris Mayne for the trip East. Emerging youngster Cam Sutcliffe will also play his first game of 2014.

Grand Final player Nick Suban was a late inclusion for Colin Sylvia, who was withdrawn after suffering a minor knock to the head at training on Saturday.

Freo lost its first NAB Challenge match by 84 points to West Coast at Arena Joondalup last week.

Senior coach Ross Lyon will be keen for his team to start hitting its straps, given the first game of the home and away season is under three weeks away at Etihad Stadium against Collingwood.

The Western Bulldogs have also named a strong squad, with Shaun Higgins named to play his first game since round 3 last year.

Defender Tom Williams will play his first game since round 10 in 2013, where he sustained a shoulder injury.

Daniel Giansiracusa and Liam Jones have also been added to the team.
