UPDATE: Injured Hill to miss Derby clash

Michael Barlow has been included in Fremantle’s extended squad of 25 for Sunday’s Carlton Draught Derby at Patersons Stadium.

Hayden Ballantyne, Alex Silvagni and Jack Hannath were also included in the squad, which will be trimmed to 22 at 3.00pm on Friday.

The only player to come out of the team was Matt de Boer, who was omitted.

Barlow, who has been out since round 2 with a knee injury, still has to get through the team’s final training session on Friday morning.

Please note: Friday's training session will be closed to both the media and public.

If he plays, Freo will be regaining a player who has won the Ross Glendinning Medal for best afield in the Derby three times in six matches.

Silvagni has performed strongly in defence for Peel Thunder this season, while Hannath played well for the WAFL side last week after he had been omitted from the Fremantle team a fortnight ago.

Livewire forward Ballantyne should return after serving a one-week suspension.

The match against the Eagles will be champion ruckman Aaron Sandilands’ 200th game.
