Live the Dream, which is proudly supported by Decmil is a once in a lifetime opportunity for 16 young Australians to become immersed in the culture of the Fremantle Dockers Football Club and ‘live the life’ of an AFL player for five days.

Live the Dream offers participants a rare opportunity to develop skills and behaviours, which can deliver long-term benefits to the individual and their local community.

The program will include a tour of Fremantle headquarters and Patersons Stadium, a boot camp session at the Irwin Army Barracks located in Karrakatta as well as leadership and health and well being training sessions.

The Live the Dream program commences on Friday 11 July with Fremantle players Paul Duffield, Tommy Sheridan, Hayden Crozier, Stephen Hill, Chris Mayne, Nick Suban, Zac Clarke and Colin Sylvia as the participant’s mentors.

Meet 17-year-old Morgan Crook from Golden Bay

Morgan is currently studying year 12 at Mandurah Baptist College.

Morgan has played football since Auskick level at Mandurah Centrals, before joining Secret Harbour Dockers Football Club.

The 17-year-old has won the last three club championships as well as runner-up best and fairest for the Peel Thunder district in 2012.

Morgan said participating in the Live the Dream program will be of great benefit.

“Being part of the program would help me become a strong leader, help develop my football skills and increase my confidence,” he said.

“It would help me to understand the way in which footballers conduct their everyday life.”

Secret Harbours Docker Football Club president, Peter McClay, said Morgan had always been looked to as a leader.

“This program will empower him to take his leadership to the next level,” he said.
