New South Wales Scholarship project Craig Moller has officially joined Fremantle as a developing rookie.

While Fremantle will have four players on its rookie list in 2013, the club is allowed to have a further three developing rookies outside of the list of 44 players.

Moller fits into this category as a NSW Scholarship upgrade, with the other categories being International and Irish rookies.

Unmistakable due to his lanky 203cm frame and long dreads, Moller, who turns 19 next year, will still be eligible to be upgraded onto the club’s senior list in 2013, just as any regular rookie player would be.

From Barden Ridge, 30km south of Sydney, he began his scholarship with the club in 2009 as a 14-year-old.

Moller was New South Wales' best player at the under-16 national titles and is also considered one of the best basketball talents in the country.

In April, 2006 the AFL (NSW / ACT) Scholarship Program was established to attract quality athletes from the NSW / ACT area to our code by providing a direct path to the elite AFL competition.
