For Fraser Davidson Tuesday mornings open training session at Fremantle Oval was the day he got to meet his favourite Freo player, Jack Hannath.

Fraser became a Jack Hannath fan at the beginning of the year when he signed his jumper.

“It’s great to finally meet the little guy,” Jack said.

“I remember seeing him down at the training session at the start of the year.

“He sent me in a great birthday video, so I wanted to make sure I got to say thanks.

“He was actually the first person to wish me a happy birthday.”

Jack turned 22 on 9 July and Fraser sent in a special birthday message via video.

Fraser was excited watching from the boundary calling out to Jack, but the four-year-old was a little shy once Jack came over to say hello.

“He’s my favourite, I was so excited to meet him,” Fraser said.

“He is really nice”

Jack even scored an invite to Fraser’s fifth birthday party in Gin Gin.

“I don’t know if I’ll be able to head out to Gin Gin, but I’m sure I can repay the favour with a little something for Fraser,” Jack said.

Also watching on the open training session were the members of the Purple Army. They watched from the driest seats in the house, on the balcony at Freo HQ.

They heard from Ryan Crowley, Nick Suban and assistant coach Peter Sumich about their thoughts on the season so far.

The team will train again tomorrow, before a closed training session on Friday, as they prepare to take on Richmond at the MCG on Sunday 21 July.
