First loss for the season, so how does that sit with you?
It’s a good learning experience for us. We came up here a few weeks ago (in the pre-season) and lost and we improved from that, so we’re looking to do exactly the same from this loss. It’s a tight competition, so we can’t afford to learn too much from losing too many games, but this is one that we’ll definitely try to move on from quickly.

There was a different feeling out there to your previous games, what happened?
The clearances tell the story, (Adelaide led) 28 to nine, that was where the game was won and lost. It was actually amazing that we were so close to them in the last quarter considering the dominance they had through the midfield. Our backs tried really hard and our forwards looked really dangerous but at that level of clearance wins, Adelaide were going to be impossible to hold up.

Do you focus heavily on this loss or do you put it in the rear view mirror?
We’ll definitely learn quite a few things from this. With the nature of AFLW, everyone is learning, so it’s just who is learning quicker and improving quicker. We want to get back to the way we were playing but we also have to give a lot of credit to Adelaide and work out, when the opposition is on top, what we’re going to do to try and stop that.

Erin Phillips was hard to stop wasn’t she?
She was, we put a lot of time and effort into trying to stop her in the buildup to the game. She was good last week, really good, but I thought she went to another level today. She was so clean, her centre clearance work was outstanding and she was always going to be dangerous forward. She was the clear dominant player on the oval.

Any injuries?
We got through well which is pleasing and we have an eight-day break as well. We’ve had a couple of shorter breaks, so we’re really looking forward to that. We want to have a really good week on the track and launch into Western Bulldogs next week.
