Matthew Pavlich will miss the next three games after Fremantle decided not to challenge the AFL Match Review Panel’s decision on a third-quarter incident in the Carlton Mid Derby.

The Fremantle captain was charged with a level three bumping or making forceful contact from front-on to West Coast’s Mitch Brown, who had his head over the ball.

Senior coach Ross Lyon told 6PR’s Sports Today on Monday night that the club would be accepting the ban.

“He’ll accept it and be out for three,” Lyon said.

“He’s frustrated and disappointed.

“It’s a spilt second decision you have to make and it went the wrong way.”

Lyon revealed Paul Duffield is expected to be back for the game against Richmond at the MCG on Sunday.
