The RSPCA WA Million Paws walk is this Sunday 18 May and Matt de Boer is urging all Freo fans who have a dog to register for the walk.

De Boer is an ambassador for the association and will be attending the walk along with teammates Clancee Pearce, Paul Duffield, David Mundy, Garrick Ibbotson, Lee Spurr and Max Duffy.

“It’s going to be great morning to head along to the river with your dog,” de Boer said.

“All the money from the registration fees goes directly to fighting animal cruelty, which is something I am passionate about.”

After moving out of home in 2013, Matt left his family dog Charlie with his parents, but was preparing to get a dog of his own.

“I’m just dog-proofing my house at the moment,” Matt said.

“It’s always nice to come home to someone after a game who doesn’t know how many kicks or handballs you’ve got and loves you unconditionally.

“Once my house is right I’ll have a look to get my own dog.”

Everyone who registers for the Million Paws Walk will go in the draw to win a 2014 Fremantle Dockers jumper signed by the playing squad and senior coach.
