Fremantle produced arguably its best four-quarter performance for the season on Saturday night in dispatching North Melbourne by 73-points, but Ross Lyon says he was simply happy to bank the four points and move on.

Ross Lyon post-match Q & A

Freo defeated the Kangaroos in trademark fashion but Lyon did not want to dwell on his side's performance in the post-match press conference.

Instead, his mind turned to round nine and the task of facing the Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval next Saturday night.

"I thought we worked hard off a six-day break," Lyon said.

"We'll move on pretty quick. We come out unscathed. We'll enjoy tonight, pleased we banked four points and prepare really in the same manner for the Adelaide Football Club.

"I watched them today against Greater Western Sydney. They got down to one rotation and they were right in that game, although GWS were very impressive.

"We'll expect a fierce challenge. That's the way they are coached. That's the way they play. We understand what's coming. Adelaide Oval is a bit of a cauldron. Their supporters will be roaring."

Lyon said his side got through the win over North Melbourne without any major injury concerns.

Skipper Matthew Pavlich was subbed at the start of the last quarter, but Lyon said it was just precautionary after the skipper experienced some tightness during the week.

Captain's milestone for Pav

"He had a tight adductor," Lyon said.

"I had a chat to him at three-quarter time and he was going to continue. We just made the call.

"We were in the position to choose between Aaron Sandilands, Matthew Pavlich, David Mundy, Michael Johnson, Luke McPharlin. He was the one tonight."

Freo's stars shone brightly again on Saturday night with Nat Fyfe collecting a career-high 37 disposals, while David Mundy, Michael Barlow and Stephen Hill were prolific again. But the Freo Dockers had 11 players collect 20 possessions or more and 10 different goalkickers.

Lyon said the even spread of performances this year has been really pleasing.

Banging down the door

"I think every team talks about weight of numbers and sharing the load," Lyon said.

"We know we've got some blokes that are really rated at the top echelon of the competition and you really need those guys.

"But certainly we've had a lot of growth from underneath and players continuing to improve and really write their own stories."
