Fresh faces
Fremantle will play three debutants in Connor Blakely, Brady Grey and Ethan Hughes. It will be a tough debut in front of a hostile home crowd. Senior coach Ross Lyon warned those playing that they would be under the same scrutiny and analysis as any other game.

Adelaide Oval
It is still a new hunting ground for Fremantle. Saturday’s game will be just its third at the historic ground. It won its last clash against Adelaide in round 9 but lost to Port at the cauldron last year.

Form
Both teams come off the back of wins but Port has been in the best form of its season. Its recent scalps include premiers Hawthorn. Fremantle returned to form with a dominant 54-point victory over Melbourne at home last round.

Tall timber
Four young talls Alex Pearce, Zac Clarke, Jack Hannath and Matt Taberner are all vying for positions in the side come round one of the finals. Saturday’s fixture will give them a chance to put forward their respective cases.
