Lachie Neale confirmed himself as one of the competition’s elite midfielders in 2015.

The ball-magnet played 24 games averaging 27.5, with a season high of 42 disposals against West Coast in round three, earning him his second Ross Glendinning Medal.

In the first derby of the year, Neale starred with 20 kicks and 22 handballs and 10 marks, winning 162 AFL Fantasy Points.

It earned him praise from AFL legend Dermott Brereton, who said he was the most underrated player in the league.

“His ability to play deep inside the stoppage packs allows his much more celebrated teammates to find their natural range at the stoppages,” Brereton wrote in the Herald Sun.

The ball-magnet also set a club record for most disposals in a season with 658.

Neale was included in the 40-man Virgin Australia All Australian squad and is a key part of Fremantle’s future.
