Starlight Ambassador Aaron Sandilands had the honour on Wednesday of introducing a very important contributor to Saturday’s Starlight Purple Haze game.

Young Freo fan Lucas Snow was introduced as the 2016 Purple Haze Star for Saturday’s game against the Gold Coast Suns.

Lucas and is parents were on holiday in Melbourne for last year's AFL grand final when he fell ill. After several trips to the doctor he was diagnosed with Leukaemia in November last year, and has displayed an enormous amount of bravery during his time seeking treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital.

Everything Starlight Purple Haze

Lucas was on top of the world as he sat on Sandilands shoulders for a photo with the Freo ruckman and fellow Starlight ambassadors Lachie Weller and Lachie Neale.

Lucas even showed off his skills with a kick-to-kick session with the Freo players.

Lucas was also Sandilands’ right hand man during his media conference and even answered some of the hard-hitting questions himself.

‘Sandi’ also gave Lucas very special surprise, a tour of the Fremantle Dockers clubrooms and inner sanctum.

Tickets are still available for Saturday's game via ticketmaster.com.au or 1300 135 915.
