Fremantle take on GWS on Saturday at Spotless Stadium.

With a number of players pushing for selection, here’s who could come in for the clash.

Matt Taberner
Has kicked 18.0 from six games in the WAFL since his omission after Freo’s round 11 clash with Collingwood.
With the injury to Michael Walters, who leads Freo’s goalkicking this season, Taberner may be called upon as Freo looks to improve their scoring after posting scores of 5.14 (44) and 7.6 (48) in the past fortnight.
While Taberner is putting numbers on the board, senior coach Ross Lyon says the 199cm key forward still needs time to develop in the WAFL.
“Matt is no silver bullet for us, he’s got plenty of things to work on,” Lyon said.
“The simple measure of kicking a few goals in the WAFL, that’s not the measure.”

Luke Ryan
Omitted alongside Brennan Cox for not meeting team standards, Ryan could be available for selection this week and is a likely replacement for injured defender Lee Spurr.
The 21-year-old has impressed since making his debut in round 11, putting up one of his best performances in the round 17 Carlton Draught Derby, with 20 disposals and seven marks at half-back.
Ryan also impressed in Peel’s loss to Subiaco on Saturday, with 20 disposals, nine marks and six tackles.

Brennan Cox
Played forward for Peel against Subiaco, taking four marks and spending some time in the ruck.
The versatile forward/defender has also shown his strong marking ability at AFL level, averaging 4.2 marks from five games since making his debut in round 12 against Brisbane.

Brady Grey
The injury to Walters makes Grey’s case stronger for a return to AFL level. After a week on the sidelines as Fremantle’s emergency in round 17 against West Coast, Grey returned to the WAFL and impressed with 20 disposals, seven marks, three tackles and two goals.

Cam Sutcliffe
Was held over as an emergency against Hawthorn, Sutcliffe has been building with strong WAFL form. In his most recent appearance for Peel in round 17 against East Perth, Sutcliffe collected 31 disposals and laid 10 tackles.
From eight appearances at AFL this season, the 25-year-old has averaged 15.5 disposals.
