A number of players set career highs against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday at Optus Stadium.

43 – Fyfe disposals
It was only the second time Nat Fyfe had reached 40 or more touches in his career, bettering the mark of 40 he set against Adelaide in round 9, 2015.

27 – Wilson disposals
Has Nathan Wilson taken his game to another level since his arrival at Freo? The early signs are yes, with Wilson racking up 27 touches. The mark was two better than his pervious best, set in round 15 of the 2017 season for GWS against Geelong.

10 – Wilson inside 50s
Freo brought Wilson in for his ball movement and he certainly delivered with 10 inside 50s. His previous best was eight, set for GWS against West Coast in round 10, 2017.

12 – Blakely marks
Connor Blakely delivered at half-back for Freo with his 12 marks matching his career best. Blakely also took 12 marks against Essendon in round two and against North Melbourne in round 16, 2017.

10 – McCarthy marks
With Matt Taberner coming off early with an injury, Cam McCarthy stepped up as Freo’s tall target with 10 marks. McCarthy’s previous best was nine, taken for GWS against Carlton in round 7, 2015.

10 – Langdon contested possessions
Ed Langdon won more of his own football than he ever has with 10 contested possessions. His previous high was nine against Sydney in round 19, 2016 and West Coast in round 3, 2016.

First year players
During their short careers to date, all of Freo’s first year players recorded career highs in disposals though Bailey Banfield (18), Andrew Brayshaw (17), Mitch Crowden (17), Adam Cerra (15). Obviously, Taylin Duman set a career high in his debut game with 15 touches.

Honourable mentions
5 – Walters goals
Michael Walters’ five goals was one off his best of six, set against St Kilda in round 15, 2017.

13 – Fyfe clearances
Fyfe’s 13 clearances was one off his best, collecting 14 clearances twice. Once against Adelaide in round 9, 2015 and again in round three against Gold Coast.
