Fremantle have made one change for Sunday’s Western Derby at Optus Stadium, bringing back Michael Johnson while retaining young defender Taylin Duman in the starting 22.

Duman came in for the managed Johnson in round five.

Johnson returns as a replacement for injured forward and back-up ruckman Matt Taberner.

The absence of Taberner means Johnson or fellow key back Alex Pearce may spend time forward while supporting Aaron Sandilands in the ruck.

Johnson played the opening four games of the 2018 season, averaging 15.5 disposals and 6.5 marks per game.

Shane Kersten, Ethan Hughes, Scott Jones and Tommy Sheridan have been named as Fremantle’s emergencies.

The game will be Joel Hamling's 50th at AFL level.

Bouncedown for the game, which is expected to be a sell out, is at 2.40pm.

Due to the expected record crowd, fans are encouraged to plan ahead and get to the game early.
