*rankings are at Freo and players must have played at least four games to qualify.

Highlight – It wasn’t a great day from a team perspective, but Mzungu was one of his side’s few winners in round 17 against Richmond at the MCG. He booted three goals in the third quarter alone to help Freo stay in the contest in what was one of his best efforts of the season.

Summary – One of just four players to player every game in 2013, Mzungu was very important in midfield. His immense tank is a great fit with Ross Lyon’s game plan.

Finals

Qualifying Final – 11 disposals, 3 tackles
Preliminary Final – 18 disposals, 5 tackles
Grand Final – 19 disposals, 1 goal

Summary – Solid in all three finals. Mzungu made history as the first Fremantle Docker to kick a goal in an AFL Grand Final.

Outlook: He has become one of the most consistent performers in Ross Lyon’s side. Can play attacking or run-with roles and his endurance running ability – one of the best at the club – will be important again in 2014.
