Fremantle’s round 17 clash against Greater Western Sydney at Patersons Stadium will see several Freo past players pull the boots back on, all in the name of fun.

The likes of Daniel Bandy, Brad Wira and Paul Hasleby will take to Patersons Stadium prior to the Giants game to re-live their playing days.

They will join ex-teammates and their children for a series of AFL 9’s grid games commencing at 12.10pm as part of the club’s 20-Year Recognition Game activities.

Fans wanting to catch all the pre-game action can enter through Patersons Stadium gates 8 and 26 from 12pm.

One current player will also be available to sign autographs outside the team store located at gate 13 from 1.45pm until 2.15pm.

The famous Rock 'n Anchor will also be on display outside gate 8 in recognition of the 20-year club history.

A group of 20-year members who been selected at random, will form a guard of honour as the current playing team takes to the arena for the Giants game.

Fremantle players will wear a commemorative guernsey which features all the names of past and current Fremantle players who have played for Freo over the past 20 years. 

The guernsey will also feature the names fans and members who purchased a 20-year jumper earlier in the season.

The Fremantle Dockers would also like to offer juniors the opportunity to attend the game for FREE!

Every adult ticket purchased entitles you to up to three complimentary junior tickets for kids aged 15 and under in the public reserve. A seat premium can be paid for junior tickets in higher seating categories.

Tickets for the Sunday 13 July match can be purchased through Ticketmaster via phone, online, at Ticketmaster outlets and at Patersons Stadium on game day.*

In recognition of the club’s 20th season in the AFL, the club has released a book to pay tribute to the club’s rich heritage. Fremantle Dockers: An Illustrated Histor, which will be released on Friday 1 August.
