Fremantle’s four debutants can hold their heads high despite their first AFL match ending in a 69-point loss.
 
Ethan Hughes was among Fremantle’s best with 22 touches and eight marks in defence, while Brady Grey racked up 20 touches in a strong performance.
 
Connor Blakely had 12 touches while Jacob Ballard had six touches after he came on as the substitute in the final term.
 
Freo’s other youngsters Matt Taberner (2 goals), Lachie Weller (16 disposals) and Ed Langdon (14) were also solid.
