Welcome to Freo!

We are excited to have your school taking part in our ‘Welcome To Freo’ program this term, and look forward to getting out to visit your students in the coming weeks.
Below you will find everything you need to deliver our classroom-based lessons Being Resilient, Being Respectful and Being a Role Model.

Lesson plans
Each lesson is accompanied by a detailed lesson plan outlining the key learning intentions, topics covered and activities for students to complete in an easy to follow one-page document.

Student Workbook
Each lesson has several activities for students to engage in and you will find all of the worksheets students need in our Welcome To Freo student workbook. You can download the workbook below and students can complete the activities over the course of the program.

AFL Player Visit
As part of the program, select AFL players will visit your school to speak to students and find out what they have learned over the course of the program. They will answer questions from students about the topics of resilience, respect and role models and what life is like as an AFL player. They will also deliver a fun footy clinic for students. Each participant will also receive a 2023 team poster and we will have some special prizes and giveaways on the day.*

Presentations
Each Prezi presentation incorporates graphics, videos and activities throughout to keep students engaged and work through each of the key learning outcomes with a flexible design allowing you as the teacher to expand further on any topic as you see fit. We suggest that you take a quick look through the Prezi prior to each lesson to familiarise yourself with the layout and activities.
