The date of Fremantle's clash with St Kilda has been confirmed, however the venue for the game is still up in the air.

Fremantle will take on St Kilda on Sunday 22 August with bouncedown at 12.15pm EST (10.15am WST).

The game is one of three that is yet to have a venue locked in as the AFL navigates the current Covid-19 outbreaks on the eastern coast.

The game will be a crucial one for Fremantle, who need to win and have other results go their way to make finals.

AFL general manager clubs and broadcasting Travis Auld said the league would continue to be adaptable.

“It is a tight race to the finish and while the pandemic will continue to challenge us over the coming weeks, as an industry, we will continue to adapt as we navigate those challenges," Auld said.

“We will continue to make changes that best manage the current environment, progresses our season and protects the health and safety of those in our game and the wider community.

“As we have done throughout the pandemic, we will work closely with respective State and Territory Governments, all AFL Clubs and other key stakeholders while ensuring the health and safety of the community remains paramount.”
