Fremantle have made one change for Sunday’s clash with Greater Western Sydney at VU Whitten Oval.

Second-year forward Mikayla Hyde comes into the side for her first game of 2022, replacing Kara Antonio who will be managed for the clash.

TICKETING INFORMATION

Hyde’s last outing against the Giants was a memorable one, kicking a goal on debut in round one last season after being elevated to Fremantle’s playing list just ten days prior.

All six debutants from last week’s RAC Derby have retained their spot in the side after impressive showings in Freo’s 28-point win over West Coast.

Senior coach Trent Cooper said it was an exciting opportunity for Hyde as she makes her return to the line-up.

“For us it’s just the one change this week with Kara being managed,” Cooper said.

“We’ve got a big road trip with four games in 19 days, and we expect Kara to be back out there next week.

“It gives a great opportunity to Mikayla Hyde, who has had a really good pre-season and was unlucky to miss out in round one.

“We expect Mikayla to step in and play her role straight away.”

Bouncedown for the clash is at 2.10pm WST, with the game broadcast from 2pm into WA on 7mate, nationally on Fox Footy  and streamed live on Kayo and the AFL Women’s app.
