The selections of David Mundy and Matt Taberner are a key milestone for the pair after having limited pre-seasons due to injury.

It will also be Heath Chapman’s first appearance since injuring his shoulder against West Coast in the round seven RAC Derby on 2 May 2021.

Second year midfielder Nathan O’Driscoll is the only player untried at AFL level as he continues his push for an AFL debut.

Luke Ryan (soreness) and Sean Darcy (thumb) are the most notable absentees with minor injuries that are not expected to affect their round one chances. Nat Fyfe (shoulder) is also continuing his build after recovering from shoulder surgery and will sit out the game.

The game will consist of four 30-minute quarters.
